Product description
The controller is designed to directly control the speed of 12/24V DC fans in control cabinets (or similar installations) as a function of temperature.
Operation
When the temperature rises above the setpoint Tmin, the fan will be activated and its speed will be proportional to the measured temperature and the controller settings:
- for temperature Tmin, the speed will be equal to the set minimum speed;
- for temperature Tmin + Δ the speed will be 100%;
- for a temperature in the range Tmin<>Tmin+Δ, the speed will be proportionally mapped from the set minimum to 100% speed.
The controller has a relay output to signal excessive temperature or damage (lack of power supply) to the controller. During normal operation, contact 7-9 is open. If the measured temperature is higher than the maximum value (Tmin+Δ) for three minutes, the contact will be closed. When the regulator is damaged or there is no power supply, contacts 7-9 can be used to signal an error.
To avoid the problem of motor stalling at low speeds, the regulator has a function of starting from the maximum speed - the fan starts from the maximum speed and then brakes to the corresponding value.
