The motion sensor is used for automatic, temporary switching of lighting in the event of the appearance of a person or other object, in such places as: corridors, courtyards, approaches and driveways, garages, etc.
Purpose
DRM-02 can serve as a presence sensor.
The microwave motion sensor allows motion detection through wood panels, drywall, glass and plastics.
Operation
The DRM-02 microwave motion sensor emits and receives high-frequency 5.8 Ghz electromagnetic waves. The sensor detects changes in the reflection of waves caused by the movement of an object in the detection area. The sensor recognizes the movement of an object "to" and "from" the sensor. Movement in the detection area automatically turns on the lighting. From the moment of switching on, continuous movement causes permanent switching on of this lighting. Only the absence of motion in the detection field triggers the lighting's holding time. A renewed movement in the detection field and its disappearance during the timer will trigger the holding time from the beginning. The nature of the operation allows the DRM to be used as a presence sensor. After the set time, the lighting will be switched off automatically. Microwave motion sensor DRM-02 is equipped with a twilight automatic, preventing the controlled lighting from being switched on during the day. The detection state and readiness to switch on the lighting are activated only after dusk. The activation time of the motion sensor can be adjusted by the user with a potentiometer. It is possible to adjust the area of the detection field within a radius of 1÷10 m (for h= 2.5 m). It is also possible to adjust the time of activation of the receiver in the range of 5 s ÷ 12 min. Activation of the receiver is signaled by illumination of the green LED. The DRM-02 microwave motion detector can operate indoors. Temperature changes do not affect motion detection.
CAUTION!
The power of microwave radiation is relatively low. It is completely safe for people and animals. Its value is less than
10 mW. In comparison, a microwave oven and a cell phone radiate with a power of about 1000 mW (100 times stronger).
