Product description
Resistance (thermal) relay is used to protect electrical equipment from unwanted temperature rise using PTC thermistor sensors, connected in series in the number of 1÷6 pieces.
Operation
Correct operation (closed contacts 11-12) is indicated by the lighting of the green LED U (proper supply voltage, correct temperature of the controlled device, efficient circuit of connected PTC sensors). If the temperature of at least one of the sensors rises above the rated value, its resistance rises above 3000 Ω. The relay is triggered (contacts 11-12 open and the red LED lights up). Activation of the system will occur automatically if the resistance of the PTC sensor loop drops below the value of 1800 Ω (lowering the temperature of the controlled device). The contact of the executive relay will also be opened when the loop resistance drops to 70 Ω, for example, when the PTC sensor wires are shorted (signaled by the lighting of the red LED) or the relay supply voltage is switched off.
