Phase loss sensor is designed to protect an electric motor supplied from a three-phase network in cases of voltage loss in at least one phase or voltage asymmetry between phases, threatening damage to the motor.

Operation
Voltage loss in at least one phase of any phase or voltage asymmetry between phases above the tripping threshold will shut down the motor. Shutdown will occur with a delay of 0.2 s, which prevents accidental disconnection of the motor during a momentary voltage drop. Reconnection will occur automatically when the voltage increases by 5 V above the tripping voltage (i.e. by the value of the voltage hysteresis). With the above anomalies, the relay contact is disconnected and it is impossible to start the motor.
