Product description
OP-230 is a professional anti-interference protection for devices operating in industrial switchgear, particularly sensitive to interference and surges in the power supply network.
Dedicated in particular to complex industrial automation systems using time relays, PLCs, multimeters, computers and other microprocessor devices. Also for use in home installations as protection for computer and consumer electronics equipment.
Operation
OP-230 implements two protections:
Triple interference filter - a specially designed passive choke circuit, largely eliminating radio and industrial interference (symmetrical filter). At the same time, it blocks incoming interference from the power grid and vice versa - interference from user devices (microwave oven, computer, switching power supplies, etc.) is not allowed to pass into the power grid. A protector filter is a circuit with a quadrupole structure (a quadrupole is a circuit that has four terminals - one pair of terminals acts as an input, while the other serves as an output), which lets through with no or little attenuation voltages and currents of a certain frequency band, and attenuates voltages and currents lying outside this band. Filters are mainly used in electronic and power devices. Placed between the power source and the receiver, they cause a signal of the desired frequency spectrum to reach the receiver.
Advanced surge protector - protects devices in the circuit into which the protector is incorporated. Special varistors work both with typical mains surges, as well as with dangerous asymmetrical surges, which often occur simultaneously with symmetrical surges. The OP-230 absorbs a high surge pulse with an extremely short response time. The use, not as usual of one or three, but six varistors creates a double degree of ultimate protection.
