Single state relays are used to detect the presence of electrically conductive liquids at the level of the flood probe mounting.
Operation:
When dry, the relay contact remains in position 7-4. When the probe is flooded with liquid (i.e., the probe electrodes are shorted), the relay contact is switched to position 7-8. When the liquid level drops (the probe electrodes are opened), the relay contact returns to position 7-4.
Method of connecting the probe:
The design of the probe allows it to be mounted on a flat horizontal surface, such as the floor in a room with hydro-valves, flow pipes or in a laundry room, which makes it possible to quickly detect a malfunction (flooding of the room with liquid) with the simultaneous switching off of electrical circuits or activation of sound or light signaling (alarm).
The probe cable can be extended up to 100 m.
Up to 10 probes can be connected under input 5-6 - in series or in parallel:
* in series - for a dependent multi-point fluid level control system - all connected probes must be short-circuited simultaneously for the relay to operate
* in parallel - for an alternative multi-point fluid level control system - at least one, any of the connected sensors must be short-circuited. When connected in series, the sensitivity of the sensors is reduced (conductivity is reduced).
