The power limiter is used to automatically disconnect the power supply of an electrical installation circuit when the set value of the power consumed by the consumers in this circuit is exceeded.
Operation
The power limiter allows the circuit to be energized when the total power of the consumers in the controlled circuit is lower than that set on the limiter scale. Exceeding the set threshold of power consumption in the controlled circuit causes disconnection of power supply to this circuit. The power supply will be resumed automatically after the set time. If the value of consumed power is still higher than the set time, the circuit power supply will be disconnected again. The limiter is equipped with a delay circuit (1.5÷2 s), which prevents the power supply from being switched off in case of momentary exceeding of the set power.
Attention!
The power limiter should not be used in systems with electronic ignition (energy-saving fluorescent lamps), switching power supplies and other devices generating harmonics from 3 upwards.
