Operation

The principle of the Time of Flight laser distance sensor is to emit a beam of light and measure the delay of light that returns due to reflection from an obstacle. This allows to precisely determine the distance of the object. This distance is then compared with the set detection range. If something appears at a distance smaller than the indicated value, the light is switched on. Such a solution is ideal for switching lighting circuits, for example, on open stairs, where it is important that the sensor detects presence only on the stairs and ignores anything happening outside them.
